Crazy Wild by Tara Janzen
It's a long way from the jungles of Colombia to a Colorado library, where Special Forces operative Creed Rivera is staking out one of the world's most dangerous women. With her prim librarian looks, Cordelia "Cody" Stark doesn't look like a nuclear arms broker. But nabbing her is Creed's latest mission-until a trio of thugs shows up and he's suddenly forced to play hero....
Armed with secrets that could ignite a global inferno, Cody was already running out of places to hide. And now a hotshot government agent has blown her cover by throwing himself between her and certain death. Trusting the hero who just saved her life is not an option. Resisting him is something else entirely. And when bullets start to fly, a man and a woman running out of time are gearing up for the wildest adventure of their lives....
The third book in Tara Janzen's series, Crazy Wild stars Creed Rivera, whom we heard about in the first and second books, but didn't actually meet until now.
Creed has been in South America with his good friend J.T., who'd been tortured and killed before his eyes. In the second book, we hear about Creed's battle for his life after J.T. is murdered. After his partial recovery. he's assigned to find a Cody, who has information about nuclear weapons from Russia.
According to the big guns in Washington, Cody is considered armed and very dangerous, but Creed has doubts right from the beginning. The truth is, Creed has the info, but isn't a player in selling it. She's actually running for her life.
Creed is hot, dark and dangerous, my favorite combo in a hero. Cody is a bit flighty, IMO, but she held her own with Creed and I understood her needing to keep her secrets.
Overall it was good. It doesn't compare to the fourth book, which I'm about to review, but it was good none the less.
3.5 out of 5
