Crazy Cool by Tara Janzen
However many odd years ago, Christian Hawkins made the mistake of falling in love with the young -and very naive - Katya Dekker. After a crazy month of passionate insanity, Superman, as he's called, is charged and arrested for the murder of one of Katya's friends, her overzealous Senator mom behind the whole ordeal.
He spends a couple of years in prison before he's pardoned. Then he starts working for the government, and now, ten or so years later, he's a highly trained government operative who's been ordered to guard Katya now that she's back in Colorado.
I thought this one was way better than the first one, Crazy Hot. Katya irritated me some, because when Christian was sent to prison, she didn't stand up for him or herself and let her mostly psycho mom send her to some insane asylum place in Paris, but whatever. Superman got over it, so I did, too.
The story was good, and the person who was trying to ruin Superman was a surprise, mostly because TJ kept it a secret, but I had it figured out about 3/4 of the way through.
Towards the end, when Kat's mom shows up again, I got all kinds of irritated at her again for not doing anything, but TJ explained it well enough and I was able to get over it. I loved seeing Kid and Nikki again and hearing about the other members of the team.
