Are you an (end of book) cheater?
*stands up and clears throat* Hi, my name is Holly. *crowd murmors, "Hello, Holly"* and I'm an end of book cheater. It has been 1 day, three hours and seven minutes since I cheated and read the end of a book before I read the beginning.
Anyone else out there willing to stand up and admit that they do what I do....read - at the very least - the last page of a book before you decide to buy it? That's me. Only I've now graduated from the Peek-At-The-Ending stage to the Read-The-Entire-Last-Chapter stage. Yep, when I get to the bookstore I see a title/cover/author I like, turn it over, read the back and then...read the last chapter.
Yes, I realize this could potentially ruin the entire story for me, but I guess I figure if I'm interested enough after reading the end to see how they got there, I'll buy the book. If not, what's the point?
So, what about the rest of you? Do you sneek a peek? Or do you refuse to even read the back and spoil that much of it?
